The Ark

It is well over a year since the building project was drawing to a close and the new area was beginning to look less like a builders playground and more like a rather smart area. Since the official opening in March last year, we have seen many pass through the doors and enjoy meeting for coffee, teas and relaxing with friends. THE ARK was given the name as it was a building project, the Ark was a place of protection, refuge and security and the original Ark landed on Mount Ararat!

Many have found this place of safety and security apart from all the other events that take place in the rest of the Community Centre.

At the moment we are open from 10am-1pm Monday to Friday but have many other events going on throughout the week so please pop in or check our social media sites for daily updates.

We have toys for little ones, high chairs and baby changing facilities, so parents or carers can relax while the little ones play.

We have just started a Craft@The Ark session on a Tuesday afternoon from 2-4pm. No experience necessary and open to all ages and abilities. All materials will be provided and included in the £1.00 fee.

Thursday afternoon from 2-4pm,  we are open for those who need to chat or feel they may have some struggles. Please come along and be “OK not be OK” at The Well.

On Thursday evenings, we have an IT Crowd session where you can pop in with your laptop, use our free WiFi and work while enjoying a delicious coffee.

We launch Renew@ The Ark  cafe this Saturday from 10.00am-12.00. This is a quiet shared space where it is OK not to be OK. It is an opportunity to come and share a hobby, learn a new one or simply to enjoy the quiet space with your favourite brew.

We would love to see you and there is always a friendly face here so please don’t worry about coming on your own.

We are so grateful to God for the provision He has given for us to have this incredible facility.

We hope this will be a real HUB to be used by all in our community. Please be a part of it.
