Centre for the Community – The Ark

We were delighted to be able to hold an official opening ceremony on Saturday 24 March and also give the brand new centre a name, THE ARK. We thought it the right name as it was a building project, the Ark was a place of protection, refuge and security and the original Ark landed on Mount Ararat!

The day  was one of celebration and music. Whitchurch Primary gave a fantastic performance and even wrote a special song and prayer for us. Our lovely Goldies got everyone singing and dancing and the Band, Rarely Used,  got us rocking. The Ribbon was cut by two very special people. Morfydd Tarr one of our own ladies who will be 100 on Saturday and little Ada Watkins who is 2 years old and the fourth generation of members of this church. Ada declared we were “Officially Open”! Please go to our Facebook page (link on the front page here) to see photographs of the day and those who walked the red carpet.

We are so grateful to God for the provision He has given for us to have this incredible facility. We have started a drop in session on a Thursday afternoon from 2-4pm for those who need to chat or feel they may have some struggles. Please come along and be “OK not be OK” at The Well.

We hope this will be a real HUB to be used by all in our community.
