Messy Church
At its heart, Messy Church aims to create the opportunity for all ages, children, parents, grandparents and carers to have fun, express their creativity, experience worship and then sit down together to enjoy a meal all within a church context.
The format is very informal; as you arrive there are a number of different craft activities and games that the children can chose to do in whatever order they like, we then come together sing a few action songs, share a bible story in an interactive way and eat food together. It’s helpful to wear something that is comfortable and that doesn’t matter if it gets a bit messy!
Please contact RachelPowell@ararat.org.uk for the next Messy Church date.
Kidzone
‘KidZone’ is the name for the junior church. KidZone meets at 10.30am on a Sunday morning to meet the needs of those between 0 and 16 years of age.
All the members of ‘KidZone’ go into the church at 10.30am for the start of the service and leave to go to their group part way through the service.
Creche – for 0 to 3 year olds.
Based in Room 9, the Creche is for newborns up to children aged approx. 3 years.
Staffed by experienced, DBS registered carers, the crèche is a fun, safe place to leave your little ones so you can benefit from the service back in church.
Adventurers – for 4 to 10 year olds.
Adventurers is our group for children in Reception up to the end of Year 4. They meet in Room 4.
With these older children all sorts of things get planned and sampled as they get a bigger grasp on the world around them, their part in it and as they begin to understand more about who God is.
Pioneers – for 10 to 16 year olds.
Pioneers is for young people in School Years 5-11.
The group is usually a lively place full of chat, comment and discussion!
They get stuck into a wide range of activities…but only ones which are really cool! They hang out in Room 1.
