At its heart, Messy Church aims to create the opportunity for all ages, children, parents, grandparents and carers to have fun, express their creativity, experience worship and then sit down together to enjoy a meal all within a church context. The format is very informal; as you arrive there are a number of different craft activities and games that the children can chose to do in whatever order they like, we then come together sing a few action songs, share a bible story in an interactive way and eat food that has been specially themed around the topic for that session! It’s helpful to wear something that is comfortable and that doesn’t matter if it gets a bit messy!
We meet on the fourth Sunday of the month at 4.30pm and finish about 6pm. When you arrive you will be guided to rooms 4, 8 and 9 for craft and games and back downstairs to room 1 for worship before moving to room 2 for food.
We have had to stop doing Messy Church for a while because of Covid-19. We will update this page when we are able to do Messy Church again.
